One of 6 boxes which changed my collecting
I Almost Got Out Of The Hobby
Earlier last year I had given it some serious thought to exit the hobby and really double down on my business, it was the right thing to do.
Then I realized that’s a horrible idea and that I love collecting and hunting cards like a pirate at sea, always on the search of some booty and Gems! 😂
At that same time, I noticed a super high priced unique listing on Facebook Marketplace for 6 boxes filled with 1950’s baseball cards. (I owned them within hours) and since that day, I have been focused on vintage and really honed in on 1952-1956 baseball.
Overall I am still full force on the hunt, just as many of us. I will still buy collections with other than 50s, but I really plan to focus on the more rare sets/inserts to make it even more challenging. I don’t want to accumulate, I am going to be for intentional and strategic in my hunting, investing and collecting.
A Couple Examples Of More Rare Sets To Consider
I did buy a collection once and found a Barry Bonds Essential Credentials /97 that blew my mind when I found out its value. They are super rare along with some of these others below. That one card opened my eyes to many other sets that exist, it really made me dive deep in the research even more. Now, they are waiting for me to find and bring them home like the others. 😀 I have for sure missed out over the years from being out of the hobby for awhile, but I have been reading and studying daily and I don’t mind coming back with a bang… Let’s go!

YouTube - Sports Card Investor this channel is great, more focused on the current hype in the game but still a great channel with top quality hobby info to stay current.
YouTube - Junk Wax Investor here you can learn about the valuable cards that lay in those junk wax stacks or boxes. This channel talks all about the good stuff from the junk wax times. Yes, junk wax still have some value….
YouTube - Chasing Cardboard if like the chase/hunt for sports cards then you will enjoy this show. Its one of my favorite shows, not only because I was going to create the same thing almost, but because its just fun. I was so close to doing this, but couldn’t miss my family. It’s like American Pickers but for sports cards.
eBay - CountryCards here is my eBay store, nothing to exciting but you will see either way, just in case you want to know what I have for sale or connect.
Auction Company - Gem-Mint Auctions Great cards, Great prices. Don’t want to miss out on this site/app. It’s always good to have options with collecting.
SGC Grading - This is my preferred company to Grade Cards as you will come to see in my images that I share. They might not pull the same premium as some others, but I sure do like them.
PSA Grading - As you know, this is another highly recommended way to Grade Cards. The PSA slab is slightly smaller and thinner than SGC, and with different colors.

Collections & Leads For You To Explore
Here’s how this works. I run special advertising all over the USA, specifically looking for card collections. I get some basic collection info from sellers and a email in order to connect you. I try to filter the junk out as much as possible and to be completely transparent it’s possible I have interest in some of the stuff that comes up. Realistically though, I can’t buy them all and I usually like to buy stuff that is local anyways. I try to stay within a 6-8 hour radius of my location at most in Eastern Iowa. I get good leads everywhere!! NY-CA
These FREE Leads below have not been seen by anyone else, they are FRESH and ready for you to explore. Most have came in within the last week.

1952 Topps Pafko, Mays, Robinson, Mantle, Reese, Mathews
Ready To Go Treasure Hunting At Sea?
As a baseball fan and collector, I've always been fascinated by the legend of Mickey Mantle. He was not only a phenomenal player, but his clutch performances in the World Series cemented his status as an icon. However, there is one story about Mantle that not many people know, especially the younger generation.
Back in 1952, the creators of the first modern baseball card set, Sy Berger and Woody Gelman, released the iconic 1952 Topps series. Unfortunately, while the first series sold well, the second series didn't fare as well due to kids shifting their focus to football season. Berger and Gelman were left with a surplus of high-number cards, including Mantle's first Topps card, which was double printed.
Desperate to get rid of their excess stock, the duo decided to dispose of the cards in the most unconventional way possible. They loaded thousands of Mantle, Jackie Robinson, and Eddie Mathews cards onto a garbage barge and sent them off to the depths of the ocean.
Little did they know that this decision would later become one of the most intriguing stories in baseball card collecting history. Today, Mantle's 1952 Topps card is considered one of the most valuable and sought-after cards in the hobby.
And unfortunately they are all gone…
Make sure to Look for my email every Thursday morning!
Until then, I hope you find some great cards. Keep Hunting!
Sincerely,
